Addition

Here you will learn the most basic skill of addition, this skill is one of the fundamental components of all mathematics and is key necessity in everyone’s daily lives.

Learning objectives

  • Addition calculations

Addition can be done by adding two numbers together, (for more information about numbers go to *****) here a rule called addition is applied to these given numbers. This rule involves taking one number (or value/amount) and adding it to another.

For example:

1+1=2

1 is a constant value, and by adding these single values together you create a byproduct of both!

However it does not end there, you can add any value to any other value, for example:

3+2=5

As there are 3 content values being added to 2 content values the number when both are added together is the sum of the previous two.

You may add as many numbers as you like, for example:

1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 = 9

You may also add any value to another larger value or smaller value, for example:

100+1=101

1+2=3

Why not have a try at the small quiz below!
